Hello, my name is Utae Kamishiro, Born and raised in Japan. I moved the states in 1999 to attend Cleveland Institute of Music for piano performance. After I accomplished several solo concerts in Cleveland and receive my Bachelor of Music, I attended Illinois State University for Master of Music in Music Therapy.
I am down to earth, easy to talk, and my teach style can adapt to my students. In that, I can be fun while also being able to teach kids, but then also goal oriented and even inspiring for adults.
My passion for music started at the very young age of 3, where I began playing the piano along with my mother who was a pianist. I'm capable of playing classical, jazz, pops, and any other style of music. I really enjoy the elements of each style and grateful of the differences. I also teach piano in Japanese.
