Tristan Cook

Tristan is an exceptionally dedicated, fun and experienced teacher. He has in private, semi-private and group lesson environments. In addition to lessons, he assisted in designing the concepts and curriculums for the highly successful Rock Band and Pop Piano Camp programs at Merriam Music in Oakville, Ontario. Tristan specializes in Pop/Rock, Musical Theatre and Jazz; although, he completed a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario in Classical/Art Music. As a performer, Tristan has had the opportunity to perform in many countries (including Italy, Holland, Belgium, France, Australia, Norway, and the USA.) One of his favourite experiences was recording in Cape Breton with the Canadian Chamber Choir for CBC Radio. Aside from the many, many laughs shared in the classroom students who have studied with Tristan have gone on to study music at post-secondary institutions including; Humber College, Mohawk College, The Randalph Academy, McMaster, Sheridan College, Queen’s Musical Theatre, and many more. He has also successfully prepared students for performances in the OMFA Provincial Music Festival, CNE Rising Star Competition, Kiwanis Music Festival, Peel Music Festival and others. As well as preparing students for RCM Examinations, auditions for school/community musicals, auditions to Art School Programs (Etobicoke School of the Arts, Iona Catholic Secondary School Arts Program, Cawthra School of the Arts, and LEAP.)
