Tina Wang

Tina Wang is a sought out music educator based in Vancouver, the recipient of the 2018 Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher of Distinction Award. Equally passionate and dedicated to music teaching, performing, accompaniment and the art of chamber music, Tina has a wide-ranging experience on the saxophone, piano and other instruments. For over 10 years she has taught saxophone and piano, ranging from beginner to college level as well as collaborating as a pianist with other instrumentalists. She specializes in collaboration with woodwinds/brass, piano and strings when not teaching her main instrument(s). Tina is a dedicated and inspiring teacher, fostering some of Vancouver’s most promising young saxophonists & clarinetists. Her studio features many extremely talented students who placed in music festivals, BCMEA honour band, and National Youth band of Canada as well as students furthering music studies in various U.S universities with prestigious saxophone programs. On top of running her saxophone academy (Phoenix Music Academy), she is also on faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music. Tina is a Key Leave & Silverstein Works Artist Educator and member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, World Saxophone Congress, and the BC Registered Music Teachers Association.
