Suzanne Langor

Suzanne Langor has been teaching horn at Alberta College Conservatory of Music since the fall of 2001 and enjoys teaching students of all ages and skill levels. She especially delights in sharing her love of Viennese music with students and encouraging them to explore their own musical talents and abilities. She received her Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University and Master of Music from the University of Alberta. After completing her degrees, she also spent time refining her musical talents in Vienna, where she studied the Viennese Horn under Vienna Philharmonic masters Roland Horvath and Robert Lorenzi. Suzanne has considerable performance experience in Canada and Europe. She is active as a horn clinician and freelancer. Since 1993 she has been teaching piano at her home studio and enjoys preparing students for RCM exams level 1-8. "Music is my greatest passion in life, both as a performer and teacher. I believe in the well-rounded approach to teaching: students will explore repertoire, technique, theory, music history, ensemble playing, sight reading, ear training, and performance skills. 'There is music in everyone, the teacher's job is to find and nurture it (Frances Clark). ”
