Susan Maxwell

Teaching music has been my passion since starting to teach in the 1970’s. I enjoy interacting with students of all ages and seeing them grow. My experience includes teaching in public and Christian schools, Mount Royal College Conservatory, Academy for Gifted Students, and at my private studio. I provide in-person and online lessons in piano, theory, and composition to all levels from beginner to advanced. The program includes private piano lessons, computer lab learning, monthly workshops, and theory instruction. Students learn in a relaxed environment at their own pace. I am accepting new students currently. Students of this program have consistently received Gold Medals for highest marks in Royal Conservatory piano exams and have won in provincial music festivals as well as winning at provincial and national composition competitions. The program provides a complete learning experience which encourages creativity and technical development in an inspiring, positive atmosphere.
