Susan Somerville has been making music for as long as she can remember! From piano lessons starting at age 5, recorder at 9 and flute at 10, music has been a key part development. Having achieved an ARCT in both flute and piano by the end of high school, Susan went on to study flute performance at Wilfrid Laurier University. After a year of teacher’s college at Western University, Ms. Somerville went on to complete a master in flute performance and pedagogy at Memorial University of Newfoundland , with a second study in piano.
Susan spent the following 14 years in Milton, teaching hundreds of students from the Halton and Peel regions as well as playing flute with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra and piano for the Milton Choristers. She relocated to Grimsby in 2023 and is excited to be rebuilding her studio here and getting involved in the local music community.
