I holds a Doctorate Degree in Violin Performance from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, with a cognate in Violin Pedagogy (Suzuki; G. H. Hohmann; Sevick; Alexander; and Carl Flash’s method). Throughout my career and studies, I have established myself as a versatile performer and educator, and has extensive experience teaching privately and overseeing orchestral and chamber music.
As an orchestra musician, I played more than 13 professional orchestra throughout China, US, and Canada.
As a solo violinist, I focuses on various difficult right-hand violin bow techniques, especially down-bow and up-bow staccato, a specialty that few in the world possess.
As a performer, I released a CD album that includes common violin excerpts with the goal of helping musicians auditioning for orchestras. Each of the forty excerpts recorded on the CD includes a detailed explanation of the particular elements that audition committees look for in the performance.
As a passionate teacher, I have taught over 200 students in the past, and gained extensive teaching experience for both young child and adult. To help young artists, I also held the role as the jury and artist of the Forth Classical to Rock Music Festival and Competition. I can help students at any level to improve their skills, posture, right and left hand techniques, and orchestra excerpts. I also loves helping students prepare for their violin exams, auditions or concerts.
