Rafael López

Rafael López Vera is a pianist known for his technical capacity, full-bodied sound, and for teaching pianists of all ages and levels across North America. Based in Toronto, Canada, he is active as a soloist and chamber musician, and he teaches at the Elite School of Music in East York and in his own studio in West Toronto at Windermere United Church. Rafael has also been closely involved with the RCM examinations and has collaborated with teachers in Toronto, playing in their exams and rehearsing for competitions and studio recitals. Rafael's goal as a teacher in Canada is to contribute to creating a more positive and welcoming community for his students while caring about their love for practicing and their passion for music. Mr. López founded his own piano school ("Trivium") in Puebla, Mexico, which ran successfully for four years while holding a prestigious alternate teaching position at the Autonomous University of Puebla before moving to Canada.
