Peter MacKinnon holds an ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music from the State University of New York, a Diploma in Early Music from the University of Nottingham, and Associate Diplomas from the Royal College of Music and the Royal Canadian College if Organists. He is a senior examiner with RCM, and currently serves as Director, Madrigal Singers, at Trent University. He maintains a student-centred private studio, and does occasional work for the Peterborough Suzuki School. He is also active as an adjudicator, a master class clinician, a conductor and a continuo player, and is a life member of the College Music Society.
