Integrity. That's the key word. I teach others the way I would want to be taught, never forgetting the uniqueness of the individual, and always striving to offer the highest caliber instruction. In a warm, friendly online environment we work through the process together, guiding each other every step of the way.
I've been teaching since 1975. From the beginning I've desired to help others find the same joy and fulfillment that I've found through music and to teach those who have a sincere desire to dedicate themselves to their music. Over the years I've worked with thousands of singers and hundreds of pianists with the central goal of treating students to the kind of life-changing, life-enhancing experiences I've enjoyed.
I've taught private voice for The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts and Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA), and I've served as a judge for the Long Beach Mozart Vocal Competition and the Burbank Philharmonic Young Artists Competition, and for other contests. I've sung professionally with the Los Angeles Music Center Opera Association, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Opera Pacific.
My students have attended prestigious schools and conservatories, including NYU and Juilliard. They perform in musicals, with bands, on cruise lines, and many other places. Students who participate in evaluation programs and competitions regularly take home top honors.
I am a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists and SAG-AFTRA.
