Nhat-Viet Phi has been a skilled piano performer as soloist and as chamber musician/collaborator for over forty years. A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, he conducted post-secondary studies at the University of British Columbia under Lee Kum-Sing and at the University of Calgary under Marilyn Engle. From 2007 to 2019 he was official accompanist at the University of Moncton music department, where he also taught class piano, solfège and dictation for several years. He teaches all ages beginning at six years, and all levels through ARCT. In addition to classical work at piano, he is also a church organist and choir director and also plays keyboards in two cover bands.
