Graduated from Composition and Musicology Department (1986) and postgraduate research studies (1993) at Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (Moscow). Ph.D. in Music Arts (1993, Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, Kyiv). From 2000 to 2023 - associate professor of Music Theory Department, Kharkiv I. P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts (Ukraine). Author of textbooks on ear training, harmony, counterpoint in Ukrainian.
