Music is AWESOME - and helping you get the skills to enjoy your own creativity is what I love best! I got my start at 10.5 yrs old and received my ARCT at 15. What else to do but pursue a diploma and then a degree at UBC - but double majoring in composition as well, to keep things interesting. Along the way I discovered the fascinating world of opera, so I spent the next 16 years as a staff coach for UBC opera, playing the rich orchestra scores in over 85 full productions. Fast forward to mid-pandemic and it was time for another change — I love to keep exploring! So I pivoted full circle back to teaching the piano, but this time incorporating the zest for creativity, improvisation and practical musicianship that I’ve learned along the way.
