Maria Molinari is an Royal Conservatory of Music Certified teacher as well as a theory examiner for The Royal Conservatory of Music. Her private students have been awarded ORMTA scholarships for their RCM examination results and have gone on to post-secondary music programs at schools including The University of Toronto, McGill University and Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has been a clinician for the Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects’ composer workshops, the Mississauga Chamber Music Society’s Composer in the Classroom project and has lectured to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education on teaching composition in the classroom. As a composer, Maria writes for film, television, dance and the concert stage. Premieres of her works have been presented by acclaimed violinist Moshe Hammer and pianist Marc Widner, The Guelph Symphony, The Victoria Symphony, The Chamber Music Society of Mississauga and National Ballet of Canada dancer/choreographer Stephanie Hutchison. Maria has adjudicated for the Kiwanis Music Festival, Contemporary Showcase, and the Midwestern Ontario Rotary Music Festival. She is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association (ORMTA), The Society of Canadian Composers, Authors and Music Publishers (SOCAN), The College of Examiners and is a Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre. Maria is a graduate of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music and the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
