Lois Simmons

I am an experienced music teacher who specializes in teaching piano to students of all ages and levels of development, from beginner to advanced. Based in the classical tradition, I strive to foster an appreciation for all styles of music, and my lessons focus on reading, technique, and musicality. I have been a Piano Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of music since 2004, and have conducted exams and led workshops and clinics across Canada and the United States. My education includes an ARCT in Piano Performance, a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Theory from the University of Toronto, and graduate studies in music theory at McGill University.
