I now specialize in online piano lessons. Many of my students live in rural communities across Canada where they have trouble finding an in-person teacher. Parents are finding online very convenient—no traffic, less time consuming, and missed lessons are rare! I started teaching as a teenager, and have many hours of performance experience, as a solo background player at events, as a band ensemble, both large and small with a variety of instruments. In the past, I also learned to play the trumpet. Currently, I dabble around with my harp, ukulele and guitar, but piano will always be my love. I completed my Level 10 with the Royal Conservatory with honours. I try to incorporate own choice songs outside of your method book songs as quickly as possible, and many of my students learn to read a lead sheet within their first year of lessons. I teach all different ages, and use motivational piano games to help students keep their interest.
