I am President of La Jolla Conservatory of Music, a founding school of RCM for 15 years. We are recognized by the United States Senate Certificate of Commendation as well as best community for music schools from National Association of Music Merchants. I am a Legacy Examiner with College of Examiners and was second woman to achieve Ph.D. in music theory at UCSD in 1985. I was fortunate to study with Aube Tzerko, head of UCLA Piano Department for 11 years as well as Leonidas Lipovetsky of Florida State University of M.M. in piano performance and advised by composer Robert Erickson for six years while at UCSD. I have been a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with MTNA and won recognition as Outstanding CAPMT Member State Recognition Award 2018. In December I was awarded the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. LJCM provides a comprehensive program for our students through Piano and Strings, chamber music ensembles, theory, virtuoso studies and participation in practical and all theory exams provided by RCM from Preparatory through the ARCT. I am a Teacher of Distinction with RCM awarded in 2019.
