Kaelyn Sheng

Kaelyn began playing piano at the age of 5, was trained in the classical Russian method and studied with famous concert pianists Alexander Kats and Asher lan Armstrong. She had her first recital at the age of 15, a performance at Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano from the University of Toronto, was accepted to Juilliard and received her associate’s diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music with First Class Honors with Distinction. Kaelyn has achieved some incredible feats including winning prizes in many competitions and performing at Carnegie Hall. Kaelyn has taught private piano lessons for 9 years. She likes to work with children, early teens, high school, and adults all with varying musical interests and abilities. Her lessons emphasize theory, ear training, musicality, and creativity. Kaelyn also encourages students to participate in local music festivals, RCM examinations, and concerts. Kaelyn's students have been awarded first prize in competitions including the Crescendo International Music Competition, Little Mozart, Peel Music Festival, and Kiwanis Music Festival.
