Bio George Chen is a passionate Classical Musician and a talented instrumentalist. Based in Toronto, George Chen has a storied history of live performances, musical arrangements, and professional teaching activities. George prides himself on his technical abilities and musical versatility, breaking boundaries with his unique sound. ​ Winner of first prize in a provincial violin competition at the age of 14, George Chen has studied with top Canadian Violinists such as Marie Bérard and Joseph Pach, master classes with Jonathan Crow, Annalee Patipatanakoon, Erika Raum, Etsuko Kimura Atis Bankas, and David Stewart. He also played for Itzhak Perlman, Jonathan Crow, Annalee Patipatanakoon, and Barry Shiffman among others. Being frequently invited to perform as a soloist by various communities and Organizations, George has extensive performance experience in past years. He is also a teacher with great patience and teaching skills since high school time. In 2019, George Chen graduated from the Violin Performance program at the University of Toronto after finishing his Bachelor of Biochemistry degree at U of T in 2014.
