Dr. James Hong is a certified RCM teacher with advance specialization in violin, piano and history. He has taught over 100 students in the GTA area at various schools including the Stream School of Music, Thornhill School of Music, and Stay at Home Music. He maintains an active private studio and has graduated numerous students with first class honours at the highest level (ARCT) with the Royal Conservatory of Music. He studied violin with RCM examiner Jacob Lakirovich and former Toronto Philharmonic concertmaster Arkady Yanivker, and piano with Dr. Esther Chu. He teaches and incorporates musical theory and history into his lessons and covers up to the highest level of history and rudiments.
