I am passionate about making music a language that you can express yourself with! I made the leap from being a classically trained pianist to improvisation and composition in jazz and other idioms. I teach all levels/styles, but specialize in self-accompaniment for singers, improvisation, reading charts, arrangment and composition. Proper technique is dear to my heart, as years I almost lost my career to a repetitive stress injury and am aware of the problems that can arise from using the body poorly. This problem brought me to the Alexander tehnique, and I trained as a teacher in the Alexander technique (1600 hours) and am a certified teacher under ATC/CanSTAT.
