Greg Mulyk is a composer, sound artist, and pianist, from Edmonton, Alberta. He holds a BA in Music (2016), and a Master of Music in Composition (2018) from the University of Alberta. He has been teaching since 2012, both from Edmonton's longstanding Giovanni School of Music, and his private home studio. Also actively working as a media composer, his work includes music for feature length films and short films, and art gallery installations, and has received awards at a multitude of international festivals.
Lessons can be focused towards classical, jazz, or pop/contemporary performance, improvisation, and composition. Greg helps students explore any musical area they are drawn to, while still helping them develop fundamental technique and strong practice habits, propelling them to be confident, versatile, independent musicians. Greg's students have received honours on RCM exams, performed their own compositions at national music festivals, and completed successful auditions for post-secondary music programs.
