Elizabeth (Ms. Liz) Couture
“Ms Liz” of Richmond Hill is patient and kind and yet expects the best that each student can give. Just the right guidance is given so that the student may become an independent practice master!
After students complete an introductory program such as MYC (Music for Young Children), or Piano Adventures, then they deep dive into the RCM certificate program repertoire using books for technical, sight and ear, theory, repertoire and etudes through the levels/grades. The student is prepared for the exam and for success, using preparatory “mock exams” for piano as well as mini-recital opportunities with peers. A thorough and well balanced approach so that students can learn to really understand music in time.
Lessons in the RCM levels (from Prep to Level 8) are available online, and depending on location distance from teacher’s studio, in “hybrid” format as well.
All graduates from “Music for Young Children” (“MYC”) from anywhere in Canada are welcome to join this teacher at Level 2 RCM piano lessons, either online or in-person..
Also available is the RCM’s “Smart Start” program, an introductory age-appropriate music program that includes singing, movement, and musicianship classes.
What a great journey this teacher has created for students!
