Elaine Gan

My name is Elaine Gan, I have over 30 years of dedicated and enthusiastic piano teaching experience since 1992 for all skill levels of piano. I currently teach 25 students weekly. I'm a classically trained piano teacher by world-renowned piano professors, who have studied in leading universities such as the Eastman School of Music in NYC, University of Alberta, Kings University, and Alberta College. I completed the A.R.C.T. Associates Degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto in 1995, and since then I've performed in live performances, as well as participated in adjudication classes, while winning numerous competition awards from the Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival. I've performed at the Winspear Centre for Music, the Jubilee Auditorium, Alberta College, Knoppers Hall, and numerous weddings, churches, recitals and masterclasses. I'm a registered member of the Edmonton Registered Music Teachers Association and the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association (ARMTA). Additionally, I'm an international award-winning professional photographer known as Elaine Green | Photographer. I've been named in the top 5% photographers in Wedding Wire, top 3 photographers in the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada, top 25 wedding photographers by Wedding Bells Magazine, and top 50 photojournalists by the WPJA. I am an operating room registered nurse (BScN from the University of Alberta) and I work at several hospitals around the city, several times a week. In the past, I was a business development manager (BComm from the University of Alberta) who led successful launches in product design and national advertising campaigns. I play mainly piano and violin, but I also play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, drums, organ, and cello.
