A versatile and passionate pianist, Daniel Furtado holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of British Columbia, a Master’s Degree and a Professional Performance Certificate from Lynn University (USA), and a Bachelor’s Degree from Sao Paulo State University (Brazil).
With over fifteen years' extensive experience as a pedagogue, Daniel has taught courses, lessons and master-classes for all levels of students, ranging from beginner to university level at institutions such as the University of British Columbia (Vancouver), Barry University (Miami), Saint Andrews School (Boca Raton), and the Ottawa School of Music.
Dr. Furtado has recently received the Steinway Top Teacher Award for 2024, an esteemed honor recognizing music educators for their passion, artistry, and dedication to their students, awarded to leading educators worldwide.
