Hi My name is Douglas Kwon and I play the violin at Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Besides playing with larger group as TSO, during most of my studies at San Francisco, I primarily focus on chamber music - string quartet as I find so much joy and freedom in playing in an intimate, yet with such powerful music. I also love teaching as passing on all the wonderful love and support I have given through my studies from my own teachers that were both patient and so generous. And after all, introducing and guidance towards deeply nuanced language - music has helped me to shape who I strive to be as a human being as well. If you have found interest in learning the instrument, but also to develop freedom and joy of expressing what has started your love of music onto other people, I would love to learn the process together!
