Don Hlus

Hi! My name is Don (M.A., B. Mus.). I teach all levels of classical and acoustic fingerstyle guitar. I particularly enjoy helping students overcome their musical and technical barriers and guiding them to reach that next level in their musical journey. I also enjoy introducing new people to the guitar. I have an Undergraduate degree in Classical Guitar (performance), a Masters degree in Higher Education, and over 35 years of teaching experience. In addition, I am a Royal Conservatory of Music certified teacher, and a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association. Students will learn performance skills, to express their musicianship and creativity, proper left- and right-hand technique, and develop music reading skills.
