Daniel loves watching players of any level succeed, and prioritizes confidence-building while giving clear and direct instruction to ensure maximum ease, efficiency, creativity, and musical enjoyment and expression. His approaches are informed by his doctoral research, which delves into neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness, and pedagogy.
His performance experience has led him to give concerts for the Toronto Guitar Society, the Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival, the National Arts Centre Fourth Stage, the Alte Schmiede Kunstverein, Vienna, Austria, and in various locations across North America, Austria, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
He has placed as a finalist in major competitions such as the Montreal and Hamilton International Guitar Competitions, and also placed second at the National Music Competition in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2016. He also won first prize at the Open Level of the OMFA provincials in both 2014 and 2016. His debut album, entitled "Inspirations", features several premiere recordings of new virtuosic works for guitar by Canadian composers, many of which were composed for me.
