I have taught piano and theory/history both privately and at the university level for over thirty years. I believe that success in music study is a two-way street. I see my role as a being a coach, problem solver, and inspirer rather than just as merely a teacher of information and motivator. Students who are enthusiastic and engaged and who can see progress happening are naturally motivated. While the student is important, and the teacher is important, what is most important is the MUSIC. Together we explore and share this experience together.
