Caleb Courtney

I am a secondary school Computer Studies & Technology teacher in Sarnia, Ontario, and am an Ontario Certified Teacher. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I was awarded the French horn entrance scholarship in 2000. There I studied horn with Nina Brickman, Trevor Wagler, and Joy Montgomery, and I was in ensembles directed by Tim Lockwood, Guy Few, Michael Purves-Smith, and Ron Schirm. I was awarded the Central Ontario Musicians' Association scholarship in 2004. I graduated with a minor in Computer Science. I have played the horn with the International Symphony Orchestra since 2005. Before this, I played a season with the North Bay Symphony Orchestra (2004-2005) and subbed with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra (2004-2005). I also play the piano, having studied with Royal Conservatory of Music teachers Eleanore Honey and Clifford Poole. I am a member of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) and the International Horn Society, and am a past member of the Ontario Music Educators Association. I am a worship leader at my church, Bethel Pentecostal Church, and a minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
