Barbara Bolte

Music has been part of my life ever since I can remember. I am now retired from a fulfilling career as a professional oboe player, having obtained a B. Mus. from University of Toronto and a post-graduate certificate from the music school in Freiburg, Germany. Piano has always been part of my musical training. I began my private piano teaching studio in Toronto in 1999. When I moved to Perth in 2010, I began teaching piano for Queens Community Music in Kingston, as well as running a private studio in Perth. I also trained to be a Yamaha Music Education teacher and helped to build the Yamaha School at Queens University until it closed in 2021. I also received the Elementary and Intermediate Piano Teaching Certificates from the RCM after completing their invaluable training courses. Currently I maintain a private studio in Kingston, (where I visit students in their homes) and in Perth. I am a member of ORMTA.
