I believe in teaching students how to read music and rhythmic notation. Without that knowledge, students do not have the skills needed to be a strong pianist. Students will sight read every week in lessons and learn how to practice properly at home. I started teaching my students how to prepare for the Royal Conservatory exams in 2012 at Fox River Academy of Music and Art in the Chicagoland area. It was then that I fell in love with the RCM piano method and exams. My students were highly successful in their exams. One of my students in the Chicago area even scored the highest in the state of Illinois at her level in 2013. I look forward to promoting the RCM exams in Idaho and watching my students gain confidence and success.
