"I strongly believe in cultivating interest in a child - that is my best motivation!" With 30 years of experience of teaching music, I come from a background of classical training through The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity School of Music and Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music. I am trained in and currently teaches piano (Traditional and Suzuki methods) and music theory. After graduating from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Music, I have been teaching both in Asia and Canada. My fun and flexible teaching style adapts to suit each individual child and their interest. This ensures that the child's innate talent and love for music is cultivated regardless of their field of interest, be it classics, jazz or popular music. The children are given ample opportunity to excel through competition, concerts and RCM examinations. Many of my students have started with me at beginner's level and continued into ARCT and professional musicians. I teach both in the comfort of my home studio and at the Royal Conservatory of Music. I am also an examiner with Royal Conservatory College of Examiners.
