Growing up in Vancouver, I began private music lessons at the age of 5, quickly progressing through the Royal Conservatory of Music examination levels, and regularly participating in local music festivals. I also sang in school and church choirs from kindergarten on. My most important piano mentors have been Ms. Alice Enns and Prof. Robert Rogers. After obtaining a BMus at UBC (General Studies, piano concentration), I attained a MMus in Historical Performance (harpsichord) from the University of Toronto where I studied with Charlotte Nediger. During my years in Vancouver and Toronto, I have freelanced, accompanied & led school, church, and community choirs, taught music privately, and was the owner/teacher of Music Together Phoenix Song. I have experience sharing my love of music and working with people of all ages from the very young to the young at heart. In addition to maintaining my home studio, I have the pleasure of accompanying and leading the Rossland Glee Club, and am the organist at Peace Lutheran Church.
