Albert Einstein once stated “I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” This is my goal for every single student that comes to my studio. For this
reason, I believe in a very well-rounded approach to music education. Following the RCM curriculum, I teach repertoire, technique, sight reading, and ear training—and sometimes I even add composition/improvisation into the mix for students interested in creating their own music. At the end of their time in my studio, my students will be proficient pianists who can play either for their own enjoyment or for competitions and /or college auditions.
As for repertoire, I am knowledgeable in many styles including classical, pop, tango, and salsa. I tend to focus on classical repertoire but also incorporate other styles of interest to the student. This keeps them engaged during lessons and always looking forward to their next lesson!
