Course Description
This history class is in person only at the Oscar Peterson School of Music's downtown Toronto location. Visit Level 9 History (Online) for classes delivered via Zoom.
NOTE: Tuition does not include textbooks or exam. Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks and registering for exams.
This Advanced Level course corresponds to the content of a first-year college or university music program, and is designed to prepare students to write the Level 9 History Examination. Students should be at least 14 years old as of the start of the course. It is recommended that students complete RCM Level 8 Theory before registering for this course. The completion of weekly homework assignments is required. Please see Course Outline below for more details.
Tuition includes:
- Weekly in-person classes:from September to June (Full Year or Fall/Winter Term)
- In-person classes taught by OPSM faculty who are also RCM Examiners
- Moodle Account to access instructor handouts and upload assignments
