John (Jack) P. Curtin, Jr.
Jack is an advisory director to the firm. Previously, he was chairman and chief executive of Goldman Sachs Canada. Prior to this, Jack held positions in the Investment Banking and Securities Divisions, most recently as a managing director in Investment Banking, operating out of New York and Toronto.
From 1995 to 1999, he was chief executive of Goldman Sachs Canada in Toronto. Before that, Jack was co-head of Global Money Markets and chairman of Goldman Sachs Money Markets LP. He moved to Money Markets in 1987 after serving as head of Fixed Income Syndicate/New Issues. Jack joined Goldman Sachs in 1976 in the Corporate Finance Department and was named partner in 1988.
Jack is a member of the Board of Directors of Colliers International Group, the Art Gallery of Ontario Foundation and The Royal Conservatory of Music. He is a member of the Resources and Research committees at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He is a former governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange and a former director of Brookfield Asset Management, FirstService Corporation, Cadillac Fairview Corporation, Maxxcom Corporation, the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and the U.S.- Canada Fullbright Foundation.
Jack was also the chairman of the 2018 US Open Championship. Jack earned a BA from Williams College in 1972 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1976.
