Heather Edwards

Heather Edwards earned a Masters Degree in Political Science and worked for 12 years as a Director of Communications (Revenue, Fisheries and Oceans, Energy) under the government of Prime Minister Jean Chretien.

Ms. Edwards is a co-author and editor, and has produced several award-winning arts documentaries. She works hands-on at all levels with many types of not-for-profit organisations, and currently runs a large private foundation that has amongst its aims the creation of events to inspire excellence and innovation in music and the arts.

Ms. Edwards lives in Calgary and has an 18 year-old son, Adam, and a dog, Dash - they spend many of their days rock climbing and enjoying the outdoors.  Music and the RCM is a major part of their life, as Adam is currently completing his ARCT Piano exam as well as his Level 9 Clarinet exam.
