Ann Edwards studied piano with Elise Bennett, Margaret Poole, Boris Lysenko, and Marietta Orlov. A member of the piano faculty since 1990, she served as Chair of the Oscar Peterson School of Music’s Keyboard department from 2007-2013. She has also functioned in various capacities including as a mentor teacher in The Glenn Gould Professional School’s Artist Diploma Program in Performance and Pedagogy, as a senior examiner for the Conservatory’s Board of Examiners, as curriculum developer, as an adjudicator, and as a performer in Faculty Recitals series.
Ann Edwards performed extensively during the mid 90’s with Ardeleana, a chamber music group specializing in the music of Canadian women composers. For ten years she has also been a church soloist in Toronto, as well as having sung in the Mendellsohn Choir.

Teaching & Professional Experience: Ann Edwards' students have won silver medals for having received the highest provincial marks on RCM exams, have qualified for provincial finals of music competitions, and have gone on to university music programmes.
