Andras Weber has studied with Janos Starker and Robert Dodson, and at Banff and Colorado. He has performed in master classes with Siegfried Palm, William Pleeth, and Joel Smirnoff. At the Canadian Festival in Budapest, Andras performed in the world premiere of John Oliver’s Cello Concerto. He is a member of the Toronto Piano Trio and formerly, the National Chamber Orchestra (principal), the Estonian Chamber Orchestra, the Arthur LeBlanc quartet,Orchestre des jeunes du Québec and Orchesta Mexicana de la Juventud.
He has appeared on CBC and Hungarian radio broadcasts. A faculty member of several summer programs at CAMMAC (Canadian Amateur Musicians musiciens amateurs du Canada) and Shawnigan, Andras also serves as a coach for the Niagara Youth Orchestra and Sudbury Symphony and has had broadcasts on CBC and the Hungarian Radio. He belongs to the American Federation of Musicians and American String Teachers Association and has been on The Royal Conservatory faculty since 1988.
