The Royal Conservatory community recently lost a very dear and special friend.
Thomas Logan, or Tom as he was known, was a familiar face at the RCM. Himself an accomplished musician having earned his ARCT in voice, Tom had a deep passion for music. He strongly believed in nurturing young people to see them reach their full artistic potential and to that end, he supported the Dean’s Fund with a generous annual donation for many years, providing matching funds to encourage others to support the school.
Tom enjoyed attending The Glenn Gould School’s public master classes in Mazzoleni Concert Hall and got to know many of our students over the years by being a regular audience member at various GGS performances and competitions. If The Glenn Gould School had an event, chances were that Tom would be there to support our students and enjoy the lifelong companion that is music.
“Tom’s unwavering support of our students was an inspiration to everyone that met him”, said James Anagnoson, Dean of The Glenn Gould School. “I so appreciated his ever-positive demeanour and his deep love of music. We will all miss him greatly.”
