Dr. Peter Simon and Alexander Brose Travel Across Canada To Thank RCM Teachers and Music Educators
To offer his deepest appreciation and gratitude to music teachers and the critical role they play in ensuring a bright future for the arts, Dr. Peter Simon is hosting several teacher appreciation events across Canada to meet with as many RCM teachers, musicians, and music educators as possible in his final year as President & CEO of The Royal Conservatory. RCM teachers and music educators are also invited to meet President & CEO Designate Alexander Brose and learn about his vision for what lies ahead for music education in our nation.
Launched in Toronto on Saturday, October 28 with over 400 teachers in attendance, teacher appreciation events include uplifting musical performances, an inspiring Town Hall discussion, and welcome reception with Dr. Peter Simon and Alexander Brose. Additionally, teachers are presented with certificates of appreciation to thank them for all that they have done to advance the arts through music education and the development of young students.
The extraordinary history of The Royal Conservatory is inextricably linked to music teachers across Canada. The two are connected. There is no Royal Conservatory without teachers.
Dr. Peter Simon
Thank you, teachers, for partnering with The Royal Conservatory and for making this institution truly what it is. What each of you do on a daily basis with your students and in your communities as ambassadors of the RCM is utterly essential and incredibly appreciated.
