This year's Royal Occasion honoured the leadership of Dr. Peter Simon, Michael and Sonja Koerner President & CEO of The Royal Conservatory until August 31, 2024. The following are videos shown at the event or recordings of performances during the event,

Dianne Werner Simon's performance of Respighi. She chose this piece because "the operatic character encapsulates many moments of Peter’s tenure as President. The unexpected and shifting harmonies of the work capture moments of optimism, hope, despair, magic, uncertainty ,incredible energetic forces, reflection and concluding with exuberant joy. All this being a mirror of a career well spent."


Tribute from the University of Michigan where Dr. Peter Simon earned his Doctor of Musical Arts under the late Leon Fleisher.
