GGS ensembles and soloists take centre stage in Koerner Hall at two upcoming competitions. The
GGS Chamber Competition, presented in honour of R.S. Williams & Sons Company Ltd., takes place on
March 30 / 7pm.
The Robert W. and G. Ann Corcoran Concerto Competition is scheduled for
April 14 / 4pm. Both are free events, presented live and online, with tickets available one week prior to the event date.
Brayden Krueger (ADP ‘21, percussion) was recently appointed Principal Percussion of the
Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Earlier this year,
Sarah Pollard (ADP ’22, flute) was also appointed to the Saskatoon Symphony as second flute and piccolo.
Alice Hwang (ADP ’17, piano / 2018-19 New Music Fellow), also known as Nahre Sol, was featured on The Glenn Gould Foundation’s The Gould Standard podcast. The GGS’ trombone quartet - Kyle Orlando (ADP ’22), Kristofer Leslie (ADP ’23), Jackson Howard (BMus ’23) and Luke Roussy (ADP ’23), has been selected as a finalist for the 2022 International Trombone Association Quartet Competition. They have been invited to perform in a live final round at the International Trombone Festival in July, at the University of Central Arkansas.
