Ah Young Kim (BMus ’19 / ADP ‘21, violin) was recently appointed to the leadership role of Principal Second Violin for the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea), one of the leading orchestras in Asia.
 
Sydney Baedke (2019-20 Rebanks Fellow, soprano) has been engaged by the Santa Fe Opera for its 2021 summer season, where she will cover Tatyana in Eugene Onegin and appear in choruses & the annual Apprentice scene showcase concerts throughout the season.
 
Currently a Lecturer in Cello at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne), Richard Narroway (2018-19 Rebanks Fellow, cello) begins a performance and recording tour on the Ghan Railway later this month.  A film crew will be following him on what is known as “Australia's Greatest Train Journey”, capturing footage for a documentary and a future album.

Vasil Garvanliev (PDP ’08, baritone) is representing North Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, which has its final round on May 22.  After missing the opportunity to perform last year, as a result of the event’s cancellation, Vasil channeled his disappointment into the creation of his anthemic 2021 song Here I Stand.

Anne-Marie MacIntosh (2015-16 Rebanks Fellow, soprano), currently in her second year of the prestigious Adler Fellowship Program, performed in San Francisco Opera’s “The Adlers: Live at the Drive-in”.  This performance represented the next step in the company’s return to live music-making.

The Dior Quartet  Noa Sarid and Tobias Elser (violin), Caleb Georges (viola) and Joanne Yesol Choi (cello) – is amongst the three string quartets selected as Entrepreneur of the Month by Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.  They are joining the GGS community this fall as the 2021-2022 Quartet-in-Residence.
