On Demand: ARC Ensemble plays Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 and English Songs

The Royal Conservatory’s own ARC Ensemble (Artists of The Royal Conservatory) presented a free online concert on March 12, featuring an all-Beethoven program including his Symphony No. 2 in D Major (op. 36), String Quintet in C Major (op. 29), as well as five of his folk song arrangements.  

Comprised of senior faculty members of The Glenn Gould School, including Marie Bérard (violin), Erika Raum (violin), and Steven Dann (viola), the ARC Ensemble is among Canada's most distinguished cultural ambassadors. This concert also features GGS Faculty member and soprano Monica Whicher, Kevin Ahfat (2018-19 Rebanks Fellow, piano) and Julien Altmann (ADP ’21, viola).
