Early Childhood (Smart Start)

Saloomeh Fassaie is a resourceful Early Childhood Music Educator who supports children to develop their potential and competence through movement, singing, playing, and visual art. She is a highly trained music educator experienced in working with children. Saloomeh grew up learning piano and received a diploma in teaching music from Tehran Music Conservatory. She also learned Solfège and Harmony with Tengiz Shavlokhashvili. She was a Member of the Tehran conservatory choir led by Mamuka Dolidze. To foster her knowledge of music she attained training in Smart Start TM, Music in Early Childhood, Orff Pedagogy level I, and II. 

Saloomeh is very passionate and enthusiastic to work with children. She is skilled in designing developmentally appropriate, enriching, innovative, and play based musical activities. She observes different learning needs and uses teaching approaches to create motivational, humorous and engaging class activities. Her goal is to put the love of music in children’s hearts. 

Saloomeh is a Smart Start Faculty, Orff specialist and RCM Camp instructor. Aside from the working at RCM Saloomeh is a Registered Early Childhood Educator at Toronto District School Board. She is member of the board of the directors of the Carl Orff Canada (Ontario chapter).
